A beautifully put together rectangular model of modern warmblood combines a powerful engine with exquisite looks, Odyssey has the real X-Factor! His spectacular dam the silver dapple NRPS mare Distella (by the Ferro son Domini Van T’Heike) has two licensed stallion sons; Horizon (S. Amoureux) for dressage and Skyfall (S. Santo Hit) for jumping. His sire Kambarbay also has two licensed stallion sons Lanaken SSH and Jakalino SSH. Distella’s dam competed in showjumping at 1.30m and mother line has yielded many successful sport horses. This beautiful boy has all the attributes worthy of being kept entire and is bred for sport. He is extremely intelligent but sensitive, suited for the professional rider.
By the famous Akhal Teke stallion Kambarbay, he is strong and solid with with scope to jump or event; he combines the strengths and characteristics of his Akhal Teke and warmblood parentage, with an abundance of intelligence and refinement. Handled since birth, he is halter trained, rugged if required, stands for hoof trims with the farrier and likes a one to one relationship. He is well socialised with other foals and horses, is a good doer and will winter outside or inside. Passported with the AES, microchipped & vaccinated against flu/tetanus
His sire the perlino Akhal Teke Kambarbay has competed with good results in all three disciplines. He demonstrates special ability at cross country careful in his show jumping and scores well in his dressage. Odyssey`s dam is the beautiful Distella (Discovery) who remains with us as a highly valuable breeding mare and both of her first 2 offspring are licensed stallions (Horizon and Skyfall). She is graded Oldenburg and is very light and uphill in her movement. Her sire is Domino Van`t Heike, who at the age of four became Belgian Champion Merksplas and the following year reserve Brabants Champion and Reserve Champion in the Dutch Championships class M2. He also won several times in the Z1. During summer 2009, he was sixth on the Brabants Championship and Dutch Championship; he finished fifth in the class Z1. Winter 2009/2010 Domino won each selection circle and became champion. Domino `t Heike is an offspring of the highly successful Grand Prix stallion Olympic Ferro. An equine super star, Ferro is the legendary forefather of Olympic champions and is one of the KWPN verband’s foundation stallions, having sired more than ten licensed sons, of which Kennedy, Rousseau, Rhodium, Metall (sire of Utopia) and Negro (sire of Valegro) are the most famous. Romina Van`t Heike is the mother of Domino, she is a daughter of the Grand Prix stallion Welt Hit II and elite mare Hinde (v. Wendekreis ).
