Magnetic Gold (Mavrick) is a great hunter type cross of Warmblood and Irish Draught with some top names in his pedigree in both dressage and jumping. With strong joints, decent bone and lovely powerful movement whilst being extremely comfortable to ride in all 3 paces. Ridden by both tall and small people, he loves his work. Super sweet natured, very friendly and affectionate with kind eyes and big ears, he loves nothing more than a cuddle and a scratch. Homebred and allowed plenty of time to finish growing and mature, never pumped full of hardfeed. Ridden for pleasure mostly hacking with some light schooling and pops a wee jump but has the potential for more. Ready to go on and be the sweetest big horse for somebody to enjoy. Lovely paces, easy going and straightforward to handle and ride, not strong at all. Turns a front foot out slightly so not suited as a show hunter and this is reflected in his price.

Mavrick is well socialised with other horses and winters out or is equally happy stabled. Good to box, shoe, catch & handle, never been sick or sorry. Hacks alone or in company, raised on a farm so used to all the usual machinery. No vices. A lovely boy looking for an equally lovely home! Can be viewed at Oldtown Equine, Peterculter, Aberdeen AB14 0LN
International enquires very welcome, export experienced.

Mavrick’s sire Dark Vision was gelded after Mavrick was conceived and lives a charmed existence as a married couple’s forever riding horse. By MFS Vision in 2004 as a 2 year old, he was awarded a 1st Premium from the KWPN Inspectors Mr Toine Hoefs and Miss Ine van Deurzen. In September 2005 he went forward for Stallion Grading, this time judged by the KWPN Inspectors Miss Ine van Deurzen and Mr Bart Henstra. He was proclaimed the CHAMPION STALLION and awarded the highest status of “LICENSED”, with top marks for movement, conformation and jump.  He spent 2008 in Holland being trained at Stal Laarrakkers before returning to the UK.

In September 2007 he presented his first crop of foals through the SSH, MFS CALIANA, MFS CASSANDRA, COLOURED VISION and PERFECT VISION were all awarded 1st Premiums.  With most gaining marks of 8/9 out of 10 for movement.  His daughter MFS CASSANDRA was the highest awarded horse out of 145 forward for movement!  At the 2008 BEF Futurity Evaluations his stock were again successful.  COLOURED VISION was awarded a 1st Premium in the dressage section, and WILDWIND ILLUSION was awarded a 1st Premium in the eventing section.  In 2009 his daughter MFS CALIANA was the overall highest scoring horse at the SSH Gradings held throughout Scotland!!  In 2010 two of his daughters from his first foal crop were awarded the STER PREDICATE – MFS CALIANA with 78% AND HAZARD FLEUR with 76%!

In the dressage arena his offspring MFS CALIANA and WILDWIND HORIZON are both making their marks, with MFS CALIANA ridden by Jennifer Johnston now multiple Regional Champion at Prelim, Novice and Elementary, also Reserve National Champion at Prelim level.  She is now competing at Medium and has qualified for the Winter Regional Championships 2015.  WILDWIND HORIZON has also qualified at both the Prelim and Novice Regional Championships, and will also be heading for the Winter Regional Championships 2015.  Another son MFS DE VISION is gaining marks of 74%+ in Prelim level in 2014.

Mavrick’s dam Millennium Gold was invaluable to us as a broodmare. A correct and beautifully moving hunter type mare, she has the most laid back, kind nature which made her a great dam. She was unbeaten in the ring as show hunter (even at the grand age of 20) and competed successfully at local level dressage, showing, jumping and xc with numerous wins and always popular with the judges. She herself from a long line of showjumpers on sire and dam side; sire Invincible B was a Grade A showjumper and by Dutch royalty Wellington. Dam Macroom Gold from the best RID lines also showjumped, by Gold Mist (Gold Coin) out of Slyguff Girl (Slyguff Hero, by Errigal).
