Precious Horizon, a stunning bright bay sporthorse filly with 3x white socks and stripe by Horizon out of Vivid Gold (Free Spirits Gold x Derwen Gentleman). A great cross of warmblood with some TB and Welsh Cob she correctly put together with strong joints, good bone and mature physically for her age; a lovely model with straight floating movement. Sweet natured with an intelligent kind eye, loves nothing more than a good mutual grooming session. To mature approx 15.1hh, she is a small hunter type with potential to succeed locally in any (or all) of the 3 main disciplines with eventers, jumpers and dressage all in her pedigree however she could very much excel in the show ring as a riding horse or light hunter. Homebred and raised on good grass and haylage (not filled with hard feed), rugged if required, and stands for hoof trims with the farrier. She is well socialised with other horses and winters outside. Passported with the AES (Anglo European Studbook), microchipped and vaccinated.
Her dam our homebred mare Vivid Gold has already produced several great youngsters for us who have been sold to competitive homes. Her sire Free Spirits Gold’s comes from family of riding horses who have competed and won at local & regional showing, dressage, show jumping and cross country – sane enough to do everyday riding activities, yet talented enough to win, he himself is a prolific riding club dressage winner and proven popular at shows for his consistent wins and excellent behaviour. His sire Livius was a Grade A showjumper and son of the great jumping stallion Secundus, Grade A and five times British Showjumping Sire of the year based on his progeny’s winnings. His damsire Invincible B (by VDL Wellington) was also a successful Grade A jumper. – VDL Wellington competed at Advanced level dressage and was also a winner in International Showjumping, a son of “sire of the century” Nimmerdor, who has no less than 40 approved stallions including Goodtimes, Heartbreaker Aram Amethist to name but a few.
Her
sire Horizon (Amoureux x Domino Van T’Heike (Ferro) x Dominard) is a
young stallion with a big future. At only 3 years old he was inspected
and licensed by the AES and the inspector commented that he had not seen
such a stunning and correct stallion in a long time. Horizon has the
whole package; eye-catching looks, elastic uphill movement and beautiful
conformation. He is correct and straight with wonderful elevation – the
horse version of a ballerina.
Horizon`s dam is the
beautiful Distella who remains with us as a highly valuable breeding
mare and both of her first 2 offspring are licensed stallions (Horizon
and Skyfall). She is graded Oldenburg and is very light and uphill in
her movement. Her sire is Domino Van`t Heike, who at the age of four
became Belgian Champion Merksplas and the following year reserve
Brabants Champion and Reserve Champion in the Dutch Championships class
M2. He also won several times in the Z1. During summer 2009, he was
sixth on the Brabants Championship and Dutch Championship; he finished
fifth in the class Z1. Winter 2009/2010 Domino won each selection circle
and became champion. Domino `t Heike is an offspring of the highly
successful Grand Prix stallion Olympic Ferro. An equine super star,
Ferro is the legendary forefather of Olympic champions and is one of the
KWPN verband’s foundation stallions, having sired more than ten
licensed sons, of which Kennedy, Rousseau, Rhodium, Metall (sire of
Utopia) and Negro (sire of Valegro) are the most famous. Romina Van`t
Heike is the mother of Domino, she is a daughter of the Grand Prix
stallion Welt Hit II and elite mare Hinde (v. Wendekreis ).
Horizon`s sire is the wonderful Amoureux a consistent winner in young horse qualifiers with scores of 80%, a consistent winner at all levels in which he has competed and continues at Advanced Level dressage with Matt Burnett. Amoureux`s sire Saros Van`t Gestelhof claimed over 50 Wins up to Prix St Georges in Dressage. Over a period of of thirty years, the `Preferent` G Ramiro Z`s performance as a sporthorse and breeding sire earned him the well deserved titles `Stallion of the Century` and `King of Sires.` Bred in Holstein, born in Westfalia, licensed at Neumünster, Ramiro Z was an international performer under Fritz Ligges, a stallion that has had a far reaching influence on the greatest acheiving sports horses of today. During his own sporting career he had numerous wins at all levels of show jumping including Nations Cups, Puissance (jumping over 2.2 metre) and in international Grand Prix competition. Amoureux`s dam Erle (Elite) is an Elite mare who claimed the Belgian National Mare Championship three times. She competed with good results up to Advanced Level Dressage. Her sire is the legendary Krack C who competed successfully at Grand Prix level with Anky Van Grunsven.
